Off & Inshore Fishing
Located on the Golfo Dulce, one of the deepest gulfs in the world, and minutes from the mouth of the Pacific Ocean, Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge is perfectly located to enjoy both world class off-shore and in-shore (i.e. deep sea) fishing adventures!
Offshore fishing days are spent with the area’s best captains and boats (click here for boat descriptions). You will be picked up each morning right at our dock for sportfishing. Fish for Sailfish, Marlin, Dorado and Tuna.
Inshore fishing days are spent on the calm waters of the Golfo Dulce and the area’s rivers. Fish with Playa Nicuesa’s team of local guides that have years of first hand experience fishing all the Gulf’s best spots. We fish on the lodge's local panga boats - 24 foot boats with 115 horsepower four stroke engines. This is an excellent opportunity to catch a variety of fish including Snapper, Snook, large Jack fish, and with some luck the prized Roosterfish.

All our fishing packages are based on double occupancy, and accomodate to the particular needs and likings of your party. Following is an example of a package configured based on High Season '07 - '08 accomodation rates:

The Mango Guest House is a 2 storey accommodation that has 4 private rooms. Set in a beautiful jungle garden area with mango trees on all sides and open views of the surrounding rainforest. Each room has private entrance, beautiful hardwood floors, private bathroom with open air showers, private terrace, louver doors and windows that wrap around the room to afford panoramic views. Rooms have queen beds (or twin beds upon request) with mosquito netting and ceiling fans. The Mango Guest House is separate from the Main Lodge. 
These cabins are very private and set apart from all other accommodations. Tucked into the rainforest affording you a unique feeling of being in an amazing natural setting, yet with design and comfort details that has been described as simple yet ”jungle chic”. Each cabin has a private entrance, beautiful hardwood floors, private open air shower-bathroom, private terrace, louver doors and windows that wrap around the room to afford panoramic views. The garden open air shower is within the cabin’s bathroom, yet allows you to look at nature all around. Look out for the peeping monkeys!
